Top 5 Dentists in Englewood (2026)

Ranked by how much of each practice a reader can independently check: licence number, disciplinary record, current expiry date, street address and review corpus.

Searching for dentists in Englewood produces a list that is mostly not in Englewood. The city itself is a compact, older municipality of a few square miles wedged between Denver, Sheridan, Cherry Hills Village and Greenwood Village, served by the 80110 and 80113 ZIP codes. The postal name, however, travels a great deal further: the City of Englewood publishes a standing clarification that Englewood-addressed mail in the 80111 and 80112 ZIP codes is not inside the city limits at all, but serves Centennial, Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village and unincorporated Arapahoe and Douglas counties. Those two ZIP codes cover the Denver Tech Center, which is where a great many "Englewood" dental offices actually sit.

So the first thing this ranking did was draw the line. Every address below was run through the U.S. Census Bureau's geocoder, which returns the incorporated place a street address actually falls inside, and every practice we recommend came back as Englewood city, Arapahoe County. Offices in the Tech Center, in Littleton and on the far side of Belleview were cut regardless of the address printed on their stationery. That screen alone removed more candidates than any question of clinical scope. It also produced an odd geographic fact worth knowing before you book: three of the five practices we recommend share one building, the medical office block at 3601 South Clarkson Street, on three different floors and under three separate ownerships, two blocks down the street from Craig Hospital.

The second thing we did was check the state register rather than the practice website. Every dentist practising in Colorado holds a licence issued by the State Board of Dental Examiners and administered by the Division of Professions and Occupations at DORA, and the same file is published as open data. It records the licence number, the first-issue date, the current expiry date, the status, and — in separate fields most readers never see — any board case number and disciplinary action attached to that licence. We matched every dentist named on this page to exactly one record, screened all of them for board action, and checked that the licence had not simply lapsed. One associate dentist listed on a practice's current staff page turned out to hold a Colorado licence that expired in February 2026, which is precisely the sort of thing a website bio will never tell you. The ranking order below follows the weight of evidence a reader can re-check for themselves, not tenure and not marketing.

01
Matched to One Licence Record
Each dentist named resolved to a single DEN record in the state register, cited by number
02
Disciplinary Fields Checked
The register's board case and action fields were read; anyone carrying board action was excluded
03
Current, Not Merely Present
Expiry dates checked, so a lapsed licence on a live staff page could not pass as active
04
Inside the City, Not the ZIP
Each address geocoded to Englewood city limits, not merely an Englewood mailing address
05
Scope Described Exactly
General practice called general practice, with no implied specialty or board certification
06
Contact on Its Own Domain
A phone number printed on the practice's own site rather than an aggregator's tracking line
07
Re-Checkable Review Record
A review corpus a reader can look up and count, not a testimonial wall selected by the office

City Center Dental Group

3601 S. Clarkson St, Suite 400 · Englewood, CO 80113
2 Licences Verified 1,000+ Reviews

City Center Dental Group is the only Englewood practice where we could verify two currently licensed dentists and a review corpus running into four figures. The state register lists Justin Blair Pearson, Colorado licence DEN.10012, first issued on 31 July 2009, and Sahel Khorshidian, licence DEN.203236, first issued on 27 June 2017. Both are in active standing, and neither record carries a board case number or a disciplinary action. Dr. Pearson's own biography states a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan followed by a general practice residency at Denver Health Medical Center; Dr. Khorshidian's states a DDS from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and a hospital-based general dentistry residency. Both accounts are consistent with the issue dates in the register rather than merely asserted next to them.

The practice states on its own site that "for almost 80 years City Center Dental Group has been a pillar of dental excellence in our community," which would make it the oldest continuously operating dental office in Englewood; we can confirm the claim is published, not that the lineage is unbroken. Two smaller signals moved it to the top. The first is that the team page discloses a departure — a former partner who sold his interest and is no longer with the practice — rather than quietly deleting him, which is the opposite of the stale staff pages we found elsewhere in this category. The second is the depth of the review record: 4.8 stars across 1,026 collected reviews on Birdeye, with a separate Yelp listing of 56. Scope is general dentistry — family, restorative, cosmetic, implant restoration, same-day crowns and clear aligners — and the practice claims no recognised specialty.

Fit To Smile Dental

3601 S. Clarkson St, Suite 200 · Englewood, CO 80113
CO Licence DEN.8952 793 Google Reviews

Two floors below City Center, Fit To Smile is the Englewood practice of Dr. Ryan Redfearn, and the register confirms him precisely: Ryan Merrill Redfearn, Colorado licence DEN.8952, first issued on 13 June 2005, active, with no board case or disciplinary action recorded. His own biography states a dental degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 2005 and that he bought the existing Englewood practice from its previous owner that same year — a purchase date that lines up exactly with the licence issue date, which is the kind of small corroboration we look for. The practice publishes a 4.9-star rating across 793 Google reviews and carries a further 59 on Yelp.

It ranks second rather than first for a structural reason that readers should weigh rather than fear. Fit To Smile runs three offices under one brand — Englewood, Aurora and Highlands Ranch — with a shared booking system, and the Englewood staff page also lists an associate dentist whose Colorado licence the register shows as expired since 28 February 2026, with an out-of-state address of record. We have therefore counted one currently licensed dentist here, not two. Colorado records licences and any board action against individual practitioners, never against a practice name, so in any multi-office group the check that matters is the one on the dentist who will actually treat you. Ask for that name when you book, and look the number up. Scope is general dentistry: preventive and restorative care, same-day CEREC crowns, implant restoration, clear aligners, sedation options and emergency appointments.

Sopris Smiles

1610 E. Girard Place, Suite B · Englewood, CO 80113
CO Licence DEN.204045 Owner-Operated

Sopris Smiles sits on Girard Place on the eastern side of Englewood, near the Cherry Hills Village line, and it is Dr. Golnaz Samimifar's practice. The register lists her as Golnaz Sadat Samimifar, Colorado licence DEN.204045, first issued on 13 June 2019, active, with no board case or disciplinary action recorded, and it records her degree as a Doctor of Medical Dentistry — the DMD, which is the same qualification as a DDS under a different faculty name rather than a different scope of practice. Hers is the newest licence on this page by some margin, and it is the reason the practice places third rather than higher: seven years of independent Colorado record is a shorter file to read than twenty or forty, not a worse one. The patient record is strong for that span, at 4.9 stars across more than 300 aggregated Google reviews.

Two points of scope need stating carefully, because the practice's own site organises them under headings that could be misread. It publishes an orthodontics page and offers clear aligners, Invisalign and SureSmile; that is aligner treatment delivered by a general dentist, which is lawful and common, and it is not orthodontics as a recognised dental specialty, which requires a separate postgraduate residency. It also offers cosmetic injectables alongside the dental work, a service line that sits outside dentistry proper and is worth asking about specifically. The office uses a CO2 dental laser and describes anaesthetic-free treatment in some cases; we do not repeat comfort or outcome claims of that kind, and neither should any practice make them to you as a guarantee.

Michael Diorio, DDS

3601 S. Clarkson St, Suite 320 · Englewood, CO 80113
CO Licence DEN.6166 Licensed Since 1986

Three floors up from Fit To Smile is the smallest practice on this list and one of the longest-standing. The register lists Michael K. Diorio, Colorado licence DEN.6166, first issued on 3 June 1986 and active ever since, with no board case or disciplinary action recorded — forty years without a lapse or a restriction. His own biography states pre-dental study at Colorado State University, a dental degree from the University of Colorado, three years as a naval dental officer at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, and the opening of his independent Englewood practice in 1989.

One detail is genuinely Englewood-specific and hard to acquire elsewhere: the practice states that Dr. Diorio has served for more than two decades as a consulting dentist at Craig Hospital, the rehabilitation hospital two blocks up Clarkson Street that treats spinal cord and traumatic brain injury patients from across the country. Dental care for patients with limited mobility, restricted jaw opening or impaired self-care is a real sub-competence, and a household caring for someone in that position has a specific reason to consider this office. It ranks fourth on one measure only: the volume of independently checkable patient feedback is thin, running to a handful of entries on Healthgrades against the hundreds recorded for the three practices above. Read that as an absence of evidence rather than evidence of a problem. The practice also displays a 5280 magazine "Top Dentist" listing; we have disregarded it, as peer-nomination and paid-listing programmes say nothing about clinical outcomes.

Keith D. Hanson, DDS

3501 S. Corona St, Suite 5 · Englewood, CO 80113
CO Licence DEN.5507 Licensed Since 1983

A few blocks northeast of the Clarkson Street building, in a small suite on Corona Street just south of Hampden, is the oldest continuously active dental licence in this ranking. The register lists Keith Dunsden Hanson, Colorado licence DEN.5507, first issued on 16 November 1983 and active without interruption since, with no board case or disciplinary action recorded. His site states that he graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1983 and moved the practice to its present Englewood location in 1986. Forty-three years of unbroken state licensure is the longest single record we verified anywhere inside the city limits.

This is a solo general practice in the plainest sense — one dentist, one small suite, general and cosmetic restorative work, crowns and bridges, dentures, implants and root canal treatment, with no second clinician named anywhere on the site. It ranks fifth for a reason we want to be explicit about, because it is a limitation of our method rather than a judgement on the dentistry: there is very little independently checkable patient feedback to weigh. The verifiable record runs to a 5.0 rating across eleven Yelp reviews and two entries on Healthgrades, and the Better Business Bureau states it holds insufficient information to issue a rating at all. A practice can be excellent and quiet; ours is an evidence ranking, and quiet practices place low in it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is an "Englewood, CO" address always inside the City of Englewood?

No, and the city says so itself. The City of Englewood publishes a standing ZIP-code clarification stating that Englewood-addressed properties in the 80111 and 80112 ZIP codes are not within the city limits or its jurisdiction: those ZIP codes serve Centennial, Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village and portions of unincorporated Arapahoe and Douglas counties. In practice that means much of the Denver Tech Center carries an Englewood mailing address while sitting several miles outside the city. The 80110 and 80113 ZIP codes cover the city itself and some adjoining unincorporated land. Every practice on this page was checked against the U.S. Census Bureau's geocoder, which returns the incorporated place a street address actually sits inside, and each came back as Englewood city in Arapahoe County. If you are checking any other office, run the street address from the practice's own contact page through that tool rather than trusting the city name in the postal address.

What does a Colorado dental licence record actually show beyond "active"?

More than most people expect. The Division of Professions and Occupations at DORA administers licensing for the Colorado State Board of Dental Examiners, and dentist licences carry the DEN prefix. The public record for each licence shows the number, the date it was first issued, the date it was last renewed, the current expiry date and a status description. It also carries separate fields for board discipline — a case number, the action taken, and the dates that action took effect and was completed. Those fields are where a letter of admonition, a stipulation, a suspension, a revocation or a surrender appears. A licence can read "Active" and still carry a recorded action, so the status word on its own is not the whole answer. The same file is published as an open dataset on the Colorado Information Marketplace, which is how every licence number, issue date and clean disciplinary screen on this page was confirmed.

What does it mean if a dentist on a practice's website has an expired licence?

Usually it means the staff page is out of date rather than that anything improper is happening. Colorado dental licences run on a two-year renewal cycle that closes at the end of February in even-numbered years, so a dentist who leaves the state, retires, or simply moves practices often lets the Colorado licence lapse at the next cycle while the practice's website carries on listing them. It matters to you only in one respect, but that respect is the important one: a dentist whose Colorado licence is not current cannot lawfully treat you in Colorado, so the person you were shown on the website may not be the person who walks into the room. Ask for the treating dentist by name when you book, then look that name up in the state register. We found one case of a lapsed licence on a current Englewood staff page while researching this page, out of the small number of practices we screened.

Several Englewood practices offer Invisalign and implants. Does that make them specialists?

No. "Specialist" is a defined term in dentistry rather than a descriptive one. The National Commission on Recognition of Dental Specialties and Certifying Boards recognises twelve dental specialties — among them orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery — and each requires a formal postgraduate residency accredited for that discipline, followed by certification from the relevant recognised board if the practitioner claims it. A general dentist may lawfully provide clear-aligner treatment, place or restore implants and perform root canal treatment, and many do so well. None of that confers specialty status. Every practice on this page is a general dental practice, and where a practice's own website organises aligner treatment under an orthodontics heading we have said so rather than repeating it. If your case genuinely needs a specialist, ask which one the practice refers to and confirm that clinician's certification with the relevant board.

What should I ask an Englewood dental office before I book?

Five questions, in this order. First: which dentist by name will treat me, and what is their Colorado licence number? Second: is this office independently owned, or one of several under a shared brand and booking system, because that determines whether you can count on seeing the same clinician twice. Third: what happens when a case exceeds general dentistry — which specialist do you refer to, and are they certified by a recognised board? Fourth: will I get a written treatment plan, itemised, before any significant restorative or cosmetic work begins? Fifth: which insurance networks do you participate in, as distinct from which plans you will bill, since a practice can bill a plan it is out of network with and the difference lands on your invoice. An office that answers all five without hesitation has told you something useful about how it runs.

Our Recommendation

For a household that wants the largest body of checkable evidence behind its choice, City Center Dental Group is the clearest option inside the Englewood city limits: two dentists matched to clean, current state licences, and a thousand-review record. For a reader who would rather have one owner-dentist accountable for the work, Fit To Smile's Dr. Redfearn has held an unbroken Colorado licence since 2005 and the practice publishes the largest single-office Google review corpus in the city. If continuity over decades is what you are buying, Dr. Diorio and Dr. Hanson have been licensed in this state since 1986 and 1983 respectively, and both run solo practices where the dentist you meet is the dentist you keep.

Whichever you call, repeat the two checks we made. Confirm that the practice's street address is genuinely inside Englewood rather than a Tech Center mailing address, and look the treating dentist up in the state register — reading the disciplinary fields, not only the status word, and noting the expiry date. Both take about a minute. Licensure is a floor rather than a ranking: it establishes that the state permits someone to practise, not that a proposed treatment plan is right for you.

This page is editorial research, not medical or dental advice. Nothing on it diagnoses a condition, recommends a treatment, or predicts an outcome, and no practice listed here has promised a result. Discuss your own care with a licensed dentist, and verify every credential independently before you make a decision.
