Search for a plumber in Westminster and the first several results will be companies that are not from Westminster. That is not an accusation of dishonesty. It is a description of how the modern home-services web works: a firm builds one landing page per city, fills it with the city's name, and lets the search engine do the rest. The page is real. The local presence behind it often is not. We checked the three operators that rank highest for this search against Colorado's own licensee file, and found their plumbing contractor registrations recorded in Windsor, in Denver, and in Montrose, which is on the other side of the Continental Divide.
So we built this list backwards. Rather than searching for companies that advertise in Westminster, we queried the state's public licensee file for every plumbing contractor registration whose address of record is a Westminster one. There are 49 of them holding Active status, out of roughly 3,131 statewide. That list cannot be gamed by a landing page, because it is the address a business gives the regulator that licenses it. From those 49 we removed the commercial and industrial mechanical houses, the production new-construction subcontractors who never take a homeowner's call, a school district, several firms whose only web presence is a parked domain, and two whose sites are gone entirely. Six companies survived.
One further test did most of the sorting, and it is worth knowing about because it is the law rather than our preference. Since 1 July 2025, Colorado has required every plumbing contractor to display two numbers on its vehicles, its billing materials, its bid sheets and its website: the contractor's own registration number, and the licence number of the master plumber attached to it. That means a Colorado plumbing company's website is now a compliance document. You can check it in ten seconds, and so did we. Of the six firms below, two publish both numbers. Four do not. We have said which is which in every entry, along with what the state file records for each one whether the company published it or not, because the record exists either way and a reader is entitled to it.

Its plumbing contractor registration, PC.2110, is Active in the state file, first issued on 6 May 2008, and recorded at a Westminster 80021 address. Its responsible master plumber licence, MP.00189274, belongs to owner Trevor Harvey, is Active, was first issued on 14 March 2007, and is also recorded at a Westminster 80021 address. Both halves of the credential, the business registration and the individual licence, point at the same ZIP code as the office on Dover Street. Nothing else in this roster matches that, and no amount of landing-page optimisation can manufacture it.
One small correction is owed to the company, and we would rather print it than quietly ignore it. The site displays its contractor number as 2110, which is exact, and its master number as MP-18927, which does not resolve to anything in the state file. The record that matches the owner's name and the company's own ZIP code is MP.00189274 — the printed version appears to be one digit short. Given that displaying both numbers correctly is now a statutory requirement, it is worth fixing. Everything else here is in order: trading since 2006, a service map of roughly 49 Front Range communities, and the largest verifiable review file of any Westminster-registered firm we found. The site states 174 Google reviews and 62 on Yelp, and the company is BBB accredited with an A+ rating and took Angi Super Service awards from 2012 through 2017. Dover Street sits west of Sheridan Boulevard, which puts it on the Jefferson County side of Westminster.
Landgraf Plumbing, Inc.
Landgraf Plumbing is the other firm here that meets the display requirement, and it meets it precisely. The site publishes Colorado master licence MP.00188386 and plumbing contractor registration PC.0001627, in that format, without abbreviation. Both check out. The contractor registration is Active, first issued on 11 January 2008, and recorded at Westminster 80030. The master licence is Active and was first issued on 18 August 2003, held by Marty Rogers, with no disciplinary condition attached to it. Verifying this company took under two minutes, which is the entire point of the statute.
It is also the oldest business on this page by a generation. It ranks third for one reason, and it is the reason we set out in the introduction. Since 1 July 2025 Colorado has required the contractor registration number and the responsible master plumber's licence number to appear on the company website, so this is a gap against a statutory requirement rather than against a preference of ours. We were able to locate the contractor registration by searching the state file for the company name, which is how we confirmed it, but we could not identify the responsible master plumber because no number is published to look up. That is a fixable omission and we would expect it to be fixed. Ask for the master plumber's number before work begins, and check it yourself.
Hammond Plumbing LLC
Hammond Plumbing is a case where the company is new and the plumber is not, and the distinction matters enough to spell out. The business is genuinely recent: plumbing contractor registration PC.0005376 is Active but was first issued on 12 March 2025, recorded at Westminster 80234, which makes this the youngest registration on the page. The site's claim of more than thirty years of master plumbing experience refers to the person rather than the LLC. That claim holds up: master plumber licence MP.00185577, held by Douglas Hammond, is Active in the state file and was first issued on 21 May 1999, with no disciplinary status attached. Twenty-seven years of continuous licensure behind a one-year-old company is a reasonable thing to advertise, provided the reader understands which is which.
The site describes a deliberately narrow operation, and we read that as a point in its favour rather than against. It is residential only — water heaters, pipe repairs, fixture replacement, leak detection, disposals, appliance hook-ups and outdoor lines — across a North Denver Metro footprint of Westminster, Broomfield, Northglenn, Thornton, Erie, Lafayette, Louisville, Superior, Dacono and Frederick. It states that it is veteran and woman owned. Two gaps hold it at fourth.
