Top 7 Plumbers in Aurora (2026)

We built this list backwards. Instead of searching for plumbers who advertise in Aurora, we opened Colorado's licensee file, pulled every plumbing contractor registration recorded at an Aurora address, and worked down from there.

Search for a plumber in Aurora and most of the first page will be companies that are not from Aurora. That is not an accusation of dishonesty. It is a description of how the modern home-services web works: a firm builds one landing page per city, fills it with the city's name, and lets the search engine do the rest. The page is real. The local presence behind it usually is not. We checked the operators that rank hardest for this search against Colorado's own licensee file, and found their plumbing contractor registrations recorded in Windsor, in Denver, in Centennial, in Golden, in Thornton, in Wheat Ridge, in Englewood, and in Montrose, which is on the far side of the Continental Divide. Fourteen of the best-known names marketing into Aurora hold no Aurora registration at all.

So we built this list backwards. Rather than searching for companies that advertise in Aurora, we queried the state's public licensee file for every plumbing contractor registration whose address of record is an Aurora one. There are 178 of them holding Active status, out of roughly 3,131 statewide, which makes Aurora the largest single concentration of registered plumbing contractors in the metro area. That list cannot be gamed by a landing page, because it is the address a business gives the regulator that licenses it. From those 178 we removed the commercial and industrial mechanical houses, the production new-construction subcontractors who never take a homeowner's call, a union apprenticeship training centre, a university campus, a national chain operating out of Memphis, the firms whose only web presence is a parked domain or a social page, and several whose published address turned out to be a private mailbox or a virtual office suite in Denver. We also applied a disciplinary screen: any firm carrying a stipulation, citation, letter of admonition or formal complaint on its state record was removed outright, which eliminated eleven Aurora-registered companies before we looked at anything else. Seven companies survived.

One further test did most of the sorting, and it is worth knowing about because it is the law rather than our preference. Since 1 July 2025, Colorado has required every plumbing contractor to display two numbers on its vehicles, its billing materials, its bid sheets and its website: the contractor's own registration number, and the licence number of the master plumber attached to it. That means a Colorado plumbing company's website is now a compliance document. You can check it in ten seconds, and so did we. Of the seven firms below, four publish both numbers, one publishes only its master plumber's number, and two publish neither. That is a better rate than we have found elsewhere in the metro, but it still means three of seven fall short of a requirement that has been in force for more than a year. We have said which is which in every entry, along with what the state file records for each one whether the company published it or not, because the record exists either way and a reader is entitled to it.

Mileflow Plumbing LLC

14249 E. Kansas Place, Suite 104, Aurora, CO 80012 · Arapahoe County
Both Numbers Published Exactly BBB Accredited 2022

Mileflow Plumbing has the strongest documentary position on this page, and it wins on every axis we measure rather than on one. Its website publishes both required licence numbers in plain sight, printed as MP: 03000868 and PC: 0004524, and both of them check out against the state file exactly as printed. The plumbing contractor registration, PC.4524, is Active, was first issued on 7 February 2022, and is recorded at Aurora 80012. The responsible master plumber licence, MP.3000868, belongs to Ivan Jimenez, is Active, was first issued on 10 September 2021, and is recorded at Aurora 80012 as well. Both halves of the credential, the business registration and the individual licence, point at the same Aurora ZIP code as the office on East Kansas Place. Nothing else in this roster matches that combination, and no amount of landing-page optimisation can manufacture it.

The rest of the file is equally tidy. The company publishes a real street address with a suite number rather than a service-area map, which immediately separates it from most of the pool, and that address sits in the same 80012 ZIP the regulator holds. It is accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating, accredited since 26 July 2022, which is unusually early for a business registered only months before. It describes itself as licensed, insured and locally owned, works residential and commercial, and runs a 24-hour line. We found no disciplinary entry of any kind against either the contractor registration or the master licence, and no conflicting identity in other states, which is more than can be said for several Aurora-registered firms whose names collide with businesses in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia. If you want a plumber whose paperwork you can verify from your phone before the truck is dispatched, this is the one.

On Point Plumbing

13902 E. Princeton Place, Suite B, Aurora, CO 80014 · Arapahoe County
Largest Verified Review File Both Licences Aurora-Recorded

On customer record alone, On Point Plumbing would rank first on this page, and a reader deciding purely on public sentiment should know that plainly. Third-party aggregation reports a Google file of 5.0 stars across 121 reviews, of which 120 are five-star. That is by a wide margin the largest and highest-rated verifiable review file of any Aurora-registered plumbing contractor we examined, and it is not close. The anchoring is just as good: plumbing contractor registration PC.4602 is Active, was first issued on 16 May 2022, and is recorded at Aurora 80014, while master plumber licence MP.3001055, held by Krasimir Tochkov, is Active, was first issued on 10 May 2022, and is recorded at Aurora 80014 as well. Both licences sit in the same ZIP code as the suite on East Princeton Place, which the company publishes on its own site. It is rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau, though it is not an accredited business.

It ranks second for one reason, and it is the reason we set out in the introduction. The site publishes no licence numbers anywhere. It says the company is licensed, insured and locally owned, which is the formula that tells a reader nothing checkable. Since 1 July 2025 Colorado has required the contractor registration number and the responsible master plumber's licence number to appear on the company website, so this is a gap against a statutory requirement rather than against a preference of ours. We were able to locate both numbers by searching the state file for the company name and the owner's, which is how we confirmed them, but a homeowner should not have to do that. One smaller point of care: the site advertises more than fifteen years of experience, and that figure belongs to the tradesman rather than to the business, which the state record dates to 2022. Both things can be true at once, but they are not the same claim. Ask for the master plumber's number before work begins, and check it yourself.

Superior Mile High Plumbing

19169 E. Nassau Drive, Aurora, CO 80013 · Arapahoe County
Both Numbers Published Exactly BBB Accredited 2024

Superior Mile High Plumbing is the most transparent operator on this page about the thing the statute actually asks for. Its site states, in a full sentence rather than a footnote, that it holds Colorado Plumbing Contractor License PC.0004234 and Master Plumber License MP.03002268. Both resolve. The contractor registration, PC.4234, is Active, was first issued on 28 September 2020, and is recorded at Aurora 80013, which corroborates the company's own account of itself rather than merely echoing it. It publishes a street address on East Nassau Drive in the same 80013 ZIP, is accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating, accredited since 23 February 2024, and carries a review file that third-party aggregation puts at 4.93 stars across 34 reviews, 33 of them from Google. The company is owner-operated by a licensed master plumber, which is the disclosure a homeowner most often wants and least often gets.

One qualification keeps it third rather than higher, and it is a matter of record rather than of quality. The master plumber licence the site publishes, MP.3002268, is held by Hector Frias-Chavarria, is Active, and is entirely in order, but the state file records it at a Denver 80249 address and shows it first issued on 15 January 2026. That is a licence seven months old attached to a business registered in 2020. There is nothing improper in that. Responsible master plumbers change, and a newly issued individual licence says nothing about how long its holder has worked in the trade. But it does mean that, unlike the two firms above, only one half of this company's credential is recorded in Aurora, and a reader comparing anchoring across the page should see that plainly. The site claims 2019 as a founding year against a September 2020 registration, which is a modest and common discrepancy rather than a red flag.

Royalty Plumbing

2923 S. Jericho Court, Aurora, CO 80013 · Arapahoe County
Master Licensed Since 1996 Registered Since 2008

Royalty Plumbing has the deepest roots of any company on this page, and by a considerable margin. Its plumbing contractor registration, PC.1012, is Active and dates to the very first day of Colorado's current registration file, 1 January 2008, recorded at Aurora 80013. Behind it sits master plumber licence MP.180274, held by owner Leonid Zokovski, Active and first issued on 8 January 1996. That is thirty years of continuous master licensure, held by the man whose name is on the door, with no disciplinary entry of any kind attached to either credential. Both the business registration and the individual licence are recorded at Aurora 80013, the same ZIP as the published address on South Jericho Court. On tenure and on anchoring, nothing else here comes close.

It ranks fourth on a specific and fixable gap. The site publishes its master plumber number, printed as Master Plumber License # 180274, which is exact and resolves immediately. It does not publish the plumbing contractor registration number. Since 1 July 2025 Colorado has required both, so a company that shows one and omits the other is halfway to compliance rather than compliant, and the missing number is PC.1012. We would expect that to be corrected, because it is a single line of text and the firm has nothing to hide behind it. The public review record is solid rather than spectacular: roughly 4.5 stars across about 20 reviews on Yelp, a smaller file than the two firms above it despite far longer trading, which is often what happens to businesses that built their book before review platforms mattered. The company runs a 24-hour emergency line and works residential and commercial across Aurora, Centennial and southeast Denver.

Roo's Plumbing, LLC

Aurora, CO 80017 · Registered address, no street address published
Both Numbers Published Exactly Est. 2022

Roo's Plumbing meets the display requirement precisely, and it meets it in the state's own notation. The site publishes PC.0004725 and MP.03000986 on both its home page and its About page, without abbreviation and without error. Both check out. The contractor registration, PC.4725, is Active, was first issued on 21 October 2022, and is recorded at Aurora 80017. The responsible master plumber licence, MP.3000986, is held by Jose Jesus Aguilera, is Active, was first issued on 22 March 2022, and is recorded at Aurora 80018. Both halves of the credential are Aurora-recorded, which puts this firm in a small group on this page, and verifying the whole thing took under two minutes. That is the entire point of the statute.

Two gaps hold it at fifth, and neither concerns the work. The company publishes no street address anywhere on its site, describing its coverage only as the Denver metro area, so its connection to Aurora rests on the registration addresses rather than on anything it tells you itself. For a page built on the difference between a real local presence and a city landing page, that matters, even when the registration is genuine. The second gap is the public record: we could find no substantial verifiable review file, only a small number of unattributed testimonials on the company's own site with no platform or count behind them. A firm launched at the end of 2022 has not had long to build one. The site does name its people, listing an owner and lead plumber alongside a master plumber, which is a more useful disclosure than most, and it works residential and commercial including new builds and renovations. Treat this as the option for a homeowner who values verifiable credentials over a long review list, and ask for references on work comparable to yours.

Atom Plumbing LLC

Aurora, CO 80017 · Registered address, no street address published
Both Numbers Published Exactly Est. 2024

Atom Plumbing is the newest company we are prepared to recommend, and it is included because it does the one thing most of the Aurora pool does not. It publishes both required licence numbers, printed as MP.03001886 and PC.0005302, and both resolve exactly. The contractor registration, PC.5302, is Active and was first issued on 11 December 2024, recorded at Aurora 80017. The responsible master plumber licence, MP.3001886, is held by Jose Eduardo Solorzano, is Active, was first issued on 9 December 2024, and is recorded at Aurora 80017 as well. Business and master licence sit in the same Aurora ZIP code and were issued two days apart, which is exactly what a genuine new local firm looks like in the record. There is no disciplinary history against either.

The site claims more than twenty years of experience in the trade, and that claim refers to the tradesman rather than to the LLC, which the state record dates precisely to December 2024. Readers should hold both facts together. Three things place it sixth rather than higher. It publishes no street address, describing itself as serving the Denver metro area, so the Aurora connection rests on the registration. It has no Better Business Bureau listing and no verifiable public review file we could find, which is unsurprising for a company barely eighteen months old but leaves a reader with less to check. And the site does not name its owner in plain text, although its published contact address makes the master plumber's first name evident. What it does offer is a fully compliant credential trail on a company young enough that its master plumber is certain to be the person on your job. Ask for references, and expect to be an early customer rather than one of many.

Broken Pipe Plumbing

2515 S. Flanders Court, Aurora, CO 80013 · Arapahoe County · Family owned
Master Licensed Since 2005 Both Licences Aurora-Recorded

Broken Pipe Plumbing is the small family shop on this page, and its documentary position is better than its website suggests. The plumbing contractor registration, PC.4011, is Active, was first issued on 23 May 2019, and is recorded at Aurora 80013. The master plumber licence behind it, MP.189017, is held by Wayne J. Schafer, is Active, was first issued on 13 June 2005, and is recorded at Aurora 80013 as well. Owner and business sit in the same ZIP code as the address on South Flanders Court, and the founder's own account of having worked in the trade for more than thirty years is consistent with a master licence held continuously for twenty-one of them. Neither credential carries any disciplinary entry. This is a husband-and-wife operation that describes itself as handling all aspects of plumbing for the home, and the residential focus is genuine rather than decorative.

It ranks seventh on two gaps that a reader should weigh honestly. The site publishes neither licence number, so it does not meet the display requirement that has applied since July 2025, and both numbers above came from the state file rather than from the company. It also gives very little else: no founding year, no owner name on the pages we read, and no service-area detail, which for a firm with a genuine Aurora address is a missed opportunity rather than a concealment. The public review file is small, roughly a dozen reviews on Yelp, though the sentiment in them is consistent and specific, with customers describing fast turnaround when larger firms were booked out. That is the characteristic profile of a good one-truck operation: strong on responsiveness, thin on paperwork and marketing. If you want the licence holder personally on the job and you are willing to ask for the numbers yourself, this is a reasonable call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which two licence numbers should a Colorado plumber show me, and where?

Two: the plumbing contractor registration number issued to the business, and the licence number of the master plumber attached to that business. Since 1 July 2025, Colorado law has required both to be displayed on the contractor's vehicles, billing materials, bid sheets and website. That last item is the useful one, because it means you can check a company before you ever pick up the phone. Open the site and look for a PC number and an MP number. If neither is there, the company is not meeting a requirement that has been in force for more than a year, which is worth a question even if the work is good. Of the seven firms on this page, four publish both numbers, one publishes only its master plumber's number, and two publish neither, so this remains a real and current gap in the local market rather than a technicality.

Does the City of Aurora license plumbers itself, or is the state licence enough?

Aurora does not issue its own plumbing contractor licence. The city's Building Division instead requires a current State of Colorado master plumber's licence and plumbing contractor's licence to be on file with it before a contractor can work in the city, and it maintains a contractor lookup so you can check whether a given firm is on that file. This is a meaningfully different arrangement from cities that run their own trade examinations, and it has a practical consequence: the state credential is the credential, so the two numbers the law requires on a plumber's website are the same two numbers Aurora's Building Division holds. Ask whether the company is registered with the city as well as licensed by the state, because a contractor who is not on file with the Building Division cannot be attached to your permit.

Which county am I in if my address says Aurora?

It depends where in the city you are, because Aurora is unusual in spanning three counties. The great majority of the city lies in Arapahoe County, a substantial northern section lies in Adams County, and a small southern portion extends into Douglas County. Every company on this page is recorded at an Arapahoe County address. For plumbing work inside city limits the county does not change who issues your permit, because Aurora is an incorporated home-rule city and its own Building Division handles permitting and inspection across all three. Where the distinction starts to matter is if your mailing address says Aurora but you are actually outside the city limits, in unincorporated Arapahoe, Adams or Douglas County. In that case the county, not the city, permits and inspects the work, and the contractor registration requirements differ.

What plumbing code does Aurora work to, and do I need a permit?

Aurora has adopted the 2021 International Plumbing Code as part of a full 2021 International Codes package that also includes the International Residential, Mechanical, Fuel Gas, Building and Energy Conservation Codes, alongside the 2026 National Electrical Code. Permits are administered by the city's Building Division and applications run through the city's online portal. As a rule of thumb, work that moves, adds or replaces permanent plumbing or gas piping requires a permit and an inspection, which includes water heater replacement, repiping, sewer line work and any fixture relocation. A plumber who suggests skipping the permit on that kind of job is proposing to leave unpermitted work in your property records, which surfaces at resale. Confirm the specific requirement for your project with the Building Division before work starts.

What is the difference between a master plumber, a journeyman and a plumbing contractor in Colorado?

The first two are individual licences issued to people, and the third is a registration issued to a business. Colorado licenses residential plumbers, journeyman plumbers and master plumbers through the State Plumbing Board, and the classes are separated by documented practical experience and examination: the statute sets maximum practical experience requirements of 3,400 hours for a residential licence, 6,800 for a journeyman licence and 8,500 for a master licence, with academic or military training substitutable for some hours and a year of credit available to graduates of a board-approved programme. A plumbing contractor registration belongs to the company, and a registered contractor must have a responsible master plumber attached to it. That is exactly why the law asks for two numbers rather than one. A firm that advertises only that it is licensed and insured, with no number attached, has given you nothing you can look up.

How do I check an Aurora plumber's licence myself?

Ask for the contractor registration number and the master plumber number, or read them off the website if the company is complying with the display requirement. The State Plumbing Board's own lookup is the official route, though it blocks automated queries. The same records are published as open data through the Colorado Information Marketplace as the Professional and Occupational Licenses in Colorado dataset, which anyone can search by name or number. What you want to see is a status of Active. The file also records Expired, Revoked, Suspended and restricted statuses, and it carries disciplinary case numbers and programme actions where they exist. That last point is not hypothetical in this market: of the 178 Active plumbing contractor registrations recorded at Aurora addresses, eleven carry a disciplinary entry, ranging from a citation to a formal complaint filed with the Office of Administrative Courts. We removed all eleven from consideration before ranking anything, and none of the seven companies on this page carries one.

Our Recommendation

Mileflow Plumbing is the pick, and it is the clearest recommendation we have made in this category. It is the only company here that publishes both licence numbers exactly as the state records them, holds both its business registration and its master plumber licence at the same Aurora ZIP code, publishes a real street address with a suite number, and carries Better Business Bureau accreditation with an A+ rating dating to within months of its registration. Every claim it makes about itself can be checked in under two minutes, and every one of them holds. For a homeowner deciding on customer experience alone, On Point Plumbing has a review file several times larger than anyone else's on this page, 121 Google reviews at a five-star average, with both of its licences also recorded in Aurora, and you should know that we ranked it second on a paperwork gap rather than on anything a customer reported. If longevity is what reassures you, Royalty Plumbing has been registered since the state file opened in 2008 and its owner has held a master plumber's licence since 1996, which is thirty years of continuous licensure and more than double anyone else here.

Whoever you call, ask two questions before the truck is dispatched. First: what are your plumbing contractor registration number and your responsible master plumber's licence number? Colorado has required both on the company website since July 2025, both are public records, and both take a minute to check against the state's open licensee file. Three of the seven firms on this page still fall short of that requirement, and across the wider Aurora pool the rate is far worse. Second: are you on file with the City of Aurora Building Division? Aurora does not issue its own plumbing licence, but it does require your plumber's state credentials to be lodged with it, and a contractor who has not done that cannot be attached to your permit regardless of how good the quote looks.

Denver Dean's List maintains editorial independence. We do not accept payment for rankings or accept advertising from the companies we evaluate. Rankings are based on publicly available records, verified state licence data, and editorial research. No prices, hourly rates, or estimate policies are quoted on this page, because none of these companies publishes a rate card. Company information should be independently verified before making hiring decisions.
